It has been a long process but delighted we have concluded the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Bill: Consideration of Lords Message today. A special thank you to @miriamcates_mp @clairecoutinho our Education Minister and our Lords Minister the Rt Hon Earl Howe for taking this Bill through the Lords.
May it receive Royal assent very soon so we can deliver on the Government’s promise to protect free speech across universities and within higher education.
