I am in Parliament today, where we are considering Private Members' bills.
Our first debate was on career guidance in schools, which I know can make a massive difference to the life chances of our young people.
Speaking in support of the Education (Careers Guidance in Schools) Bill. Many young people have not been offered the career guidance and advice they need in secondary school to make the best of their career or educational aspirations. I have seen too many vulnerable young people fall through the cracks and I am glad this Bill seeks to address some of those inequalities.
