Today Joy Morrissey MP attended the Hedgerley Memorial Hall Centenary Celebration organised by the Hedgerley Historical Society and the Memorial Hall Committee.
The Hall was built in 1921 to commemorate the men of the village who had died or been injured during World War I, as well as the women and children who made their own sacrifices during those years.
The day consisted of presentations by historical re-enactors, a barbecue, afternoon tea and a raffle with fantastic prizes. It was a great way to celebrate 100 years of Hedgerley Memorial Hall.
