Last night I was invited to participate in a BBC Newsnight panel on the Government Roadmap to get us out of lockdown.

I stressed the importance of the March 8th deadline to open up our schools and the pressure school closures have put on parents and children.

I have spent a great deal of time reflecting on this issue, listening to different perspectives, and considering the potential consequences. After much thought, I came to the decision that I could not support this Bill.
