I’m delighted that the Government is backing the new Pet Abduction Bill, which will crack down on the heartless crime of pet theft.
This Bill, sponsored by my colleague Anna Firth MP, will ensure that anyone who steals a pet will face up to five years in prison, a fine, or both.
The Government is delivering on pledges made in the Action Plan for Animal Welfare.
