Tonight, I secured a debate on education provision in South Buckinghamshire - where I put to Ministers the compelling case for a new Secondary School for Burnham.
I know many residents, especially those in the beautiful village of Burnham, are deeply concerned about the lack of a secondary school in the area. That’s why I have been actively fighting for a secondary school, working closely with local groups, the MP for Slough, and local parents to find a way to make this a reality.
I understand your concerns about the challenges of school transportation and the heavy financial strain it places on families. This issue is deeply affecting the mental health and physical well-being of our young people, and the financial stability of their families.
This is why I brought this issue to Parliament – to ensure the Education Minister hears directly from our community about the urgent need to make a new Secondary School for Burnham and South Buckinghamshire a reality.
As your local champion, I remain committed to doing everything in my power to ensure that every child has access to the high-quality education they deserve.
