Government’s ambition is to provide equality of opportunity for every child, regardless of background or where they live. This is why all three- and four- year-olds are eligible for 15 hours free childcare per week.
Eligible working parents of three and four year olds can also access an additional 15 hours free childcare, which can save them up to £5000 per year. They can also access Tax-Free Childcare, which can save parents of under 12s up to £2000 per year
Parents on a low income can benefit from up to 85% of their childcare costs reimbursed through Universal Credit.
